Where do you ask?
Pick what you want done to the page. The drawing lights up the place to ask, and you get the words to send.
What do you want done?
Comment on the passage
A comment stays attached to the words it's about, so your dot knows exactly which sentence you mean.
- Select the text.
- Click Comment in the toolbar that appears.
- Type @, pick your dot, and write what you want.
@dot check this date against the venue emails and correct it if it's wrong. Tell me what you changed.
Comment on the block
A chart takes a comment the same way a sentence does. The block is highlighted once the comment is posted, so there's no doubt which one you mean.
- Click Add a comment... in the margin beside the block.
- Type @, pick your dot, and say what to change.
@dot turn this into a bar chart, one bar per team. Keep the same data.
Mention your dot in the page itself
For something that isn't there yet, there's nothing to comment on. Ask on an empty line, where the new content should go.
- Click an empty line in the page.
- Type @dot and your request.
@dot list the open questions on this page and suggest a next step for each one.
Ask in your dot's conversation
A new page starts from a job, and jobs are handed over in the conversation. Your dot makes the page, replies with a link, and the page opens beside the chat.
- Open your dot's conversation.
- Say what the page is for and what goes in it.
Make a new page called Offsite plan. Put in what you've found so far: the venue, the dates, who has confirmed. Send me the link.
Ask your dot for a schedule
A page doesn't update itself because a sentence on it says so. A saved schedule does that. Ask for one in the conversation, or click the clock at the top of the page and type the same request there.
- Open your dot's conversation.
- Name the page, what to check and how often.
- Find the saved task on the Scheduled page.
Every weekday at 9am, check the #offsite channel and my venue emails, then update the Offsite plan page. Message me only if a date or a price changed.
